Restorative Dentistry

Our teeth are important for so many daily activities, from speaking to eating to smiling. Restorative dentistry techniques aim to leave you with a mouth full of beautiful, functional teeth, even after dental complications. Whether you need a tooth to be fixed or replaced, our dental team can help you get back to a fully restored smile.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding uses a material called composite resin, which is “bonded” to the teeth. Dental bonding is used to repair teeth for a variety of reasons. Bonding can be used to fill in chips in the teeth, reshape misshapen teeth, or cover over discoloured teeth. It’s an affordable way to repair teeth and can be completed in a single appointment.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a permanent restorative technique that allows us to replace the teeth. A dental implant is made up of the implant itself, a small screw which is surgically placed in the gums and secures to the bone structure in the mouth. This effectively replaces the tooth roots, allowing a pontic (a false tooth) to be secured on top.

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a restorative structure that helps replace missing teeth. Dental bridges can provide several benefits, such as restoring chewing abilities, creating a more aesthetically pleasing smile, and preventing the nearby teeth from shifting out of place. Bridges provide a natural-looking and functional replacement option for missing teeth.

Composite Dental Fillings

Dental fillings are a simple and common way for dentists to repair broken or decaying teeth. Composite dental fillings are created with a composite resin material, which is a highly durable material that can be matched to the colour of the tooth. This leaves you with a nearly invisible repair that allows you to chew normally.

Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and onlays are a type of tooth restoration that is created outside the mouth and fitted onto the tooth. Although similar to dental crowns, inlays and onlays are not as extensive in their coverage of a tooth. Instead, they rest on top of molars, usually providing a new biting surface.

Dentures

Dentures are restorative dental devices that can be removed from the mouth. Whether disease, accidents, or other oral health issues have left you with tooth loss, dentures are a simple and comfortable way to replace missing teeth. With excellent oral care at home and at the dentist, dentures can last up to 10 years.
